Das Eröffnungskonzert der dänischen Band “Oriental Mood“ am 16. Oktober gibt den Startschuss für den PRIX EUROPA 2004, der unter der Schirmherrschaft der EU- Kommissarin Sandra Kalniete steht. In diesem Jahr kommen über 1200 Medien-Fachleute aus 45 Länder im Haus des Rundfunks zusammen.
"Crossing Borders: Cultures, Religions and Media” – der PRIX EUROPA 2004 richtet gemeinsam mit dem Europarat und der EBU eine dreitägige internationale Medienkonferenz aus.
13 Preise gehen an die besten Europäischen Fernseh-, Radio und Internetproduktionen des Jahres 2004.
Radio France stiftet den PRIX EUROPA RADIO FRANCE für das beste Hörspiel und das Auswärtige Amt unterstützt die Fernsehkategorie SPOT für „Ein-Minüter“ von jungen Filmemachern über ihre Visionen von Europa.
