o Parliamentary Assembly
o Congress of Local and Regional Authorities
o Directorate IV: Education, Culture and Heritage, Youth and Sport

The Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of Europe donates the special prize for television entries from local or regional broadcasters or low-budget productions. In 2003, 2005 and 2007 the Council of Europe was the patron of the Radio Day of European Cultures.

The Council of Europe, the first organisation representing the whole continent, symbolises the commitment of Europe’s democratic states to certain shared values: human rights, democracy and the rule of law. A political organisation with 47 member states, it provides an ideal forum for political co-operation, defending the aspirations and concerns of 800 million Europeans. The Golden Patronage for PRIX EUROPA has been carried by the Council of Europe since 2006.

SRG SSR media inform, entertain and also have an educational function. They distribute their services to everyone, round the clock, via all available means. What is more, they do so on the same terms everywhere.

SRG SSR is in a position to offer the same breadth and quality of service in all regions of Switzerland. As such, it helps to promote mutual understanding, cohesion and exchange between the different parts of the country – and in doing so, it plays a key role in social and cultural integration.
