There are two brand new television categories:
The Market Place of Innovation looks for the best ideas, concepts, inspired projects or imaginative television formats to reach new audiences.
SPOT will ask young German filmmakers for a vision of Europe in a short film. Detailed regulations will be published soon.
In the category TV Current Affairs the Best European TV Investigation will be awarded this year. It looks for research programmes focusing on in-depth information and responsible journalism – or just for the best investigative story.
The category TV Documentary is now concentrating on quality documentaries of up to 90 minutes.
