Script Writing Workshops with Guy Meredith
Register now to take part in these workshops!
Guy Meredith is a story expert. Visit his two workshops - he will make you one as well! The workshops will be held on Wednesday, 26 October & Saturday, 29 October 2011.
Point of View and its effect on Storytelling
In every screenplay, just as with novels, the scriptwriter has a choice of whose eyes to see the story through. There may be a single protagonist, dual protagonists or multi protagonists. The choice of viewpoint will profoundly affect not just the way the story is told but quite probably the story itself. Guy Meredith will look at how to make the best choice and its consequences in a variety of genres.
Which direction are we laughing in? Present and future trends in TV comedy
Comedy is a notoriously fickle genre: what makes you laugh may not make me laugh and vice versa. But, just like other genres, there are observable influences which can be traced. With the help of some influential programmes, either current or from recent years, Guy Meredith will look at how comedy - in particular sit-com - may evolve in the near future.
All PRIX EUROPA Participants may take part in these workshops. As only a limited number of space is available for each event, it is necessary to register in advance by contacting Birgit Oehmcke on the address below - stating which workshop you would like to attend.
