If you want to get your point across, the first thing you need to do is to learn to listen and understand the one we are trying to reach.
The protagonist of the film is a guy who tries to teach his caged bird to speak. But the bird will not learn a word, instead, it keeps whistling like all birds do, every time the man repeats his phrase. After a while, the man runs out of patience and out of the blue starts whistling in bird language!
Only when we ourselves take a step further towards our companion, then real contact and understanding can happen.
