Horse race is a report about a very special horse race; where every jockey and horse comes from a different country belonging to the European Union. None of the jockeys or horses can speak any language other than his mother tongue. But what happens if the English jockey wants to instruct his Danish horse and it doesn’t understand, but next to him the English horse of the French jockey gets the instruction? At first nobody understands anything, but finally everybody speaks his own language and leads the opponent’s horse to the finish. Because of this ‘team work’ they arrive together at the finishing line. They have all won. At the end, everybody climbs onto the platform, horses eat their wreaths, and the platform collapses.
The race illustrates the fact that none of the countries is better or worse than the other, but we all have a better chance if we speak other languages.
