What would lead four people to dig a hole? Would it be a Treasure hunt? An archaeological dig? An interest in flowers? The search for a corpse?
What if I tell you that our story takes place in a multicultural country, where nobody speaks the same language! As a matter of fact, none of the first assumptions was correct. In this case, linguistic differences are the main cause for an event that brings together a gravedigger, who speaks Portuguese, a police officer, who speaks French, a passer-by, who speaks Spanish, an environmentalist, who speaks German, and an archaeologist, who speaks Italian.
With this three minute movie ‘The Hole’ we want to show with a certain degree of  black humour and nonsense, how linguistic differences may lead to  misunderstandings and communication difficulties.
In the end, what is thea whole purpose of the hole?
